How much time to Christians spend trying to defend the "history" or "science" of the Bible? It is up to the individual on how they feel about the Bible, but for the most part it is a very healing book! I think God is the best author out there and we should enjoy the great book. The Bible communicates (in its own way) truth about God and God's relationship to us. The modernist error of the liberal was to throw out what was not rational; the fundamentalist error was to insist that it was infallible.<br /><br />We have tended to claim for the Bible what it never claims for itself and impose our expectations on it.
